Sunday’s Pole Day schedule at Indy  

I'm looking forward to "Sunday" and will definitely be watching.

With with it being a rainy Saturday in NJ (yesterday) I ended up watching just about all of Saturday's Indy qualifying for positions 13 - 30.

Indy doesn't disappoint...  There's always enough real life drama to keep the manipulators from feeling they needed to "create" storylines to make it interesting, which unfortunatley and predictably, is often the norm for all divisions of NASCAR...

Here's a few notes from Saturday:

• Penske's rebound from last year.... (Will Power barely made the field last year...)
• Marcus Ericson's challenges so far in 2024 at Indy, after winning two years ago, and having last years win almost in the bag before the one to go red.... 
• Rookie Nolan Siegels challenges in getting back on the horse after getting upside down on Friday...
• Katherine Lege's effort to make the field including a brush with the wall at 230 mph but never lifting.... 
• Rinus VeeKay's (and team's) daring move to pull their guaranteed spot and take at making the top 12, all after having almost destroyed his car in a crash earlier in the day....
• The mystery "Plenum Event" situation that seemed to bite about 6 different teams during their qualifying attempts.
• Santino Ferruchi's strong effort again this years behind the wheel to keep AJ Foyt's name and team in the spotlight at Indy, as it should be.
• Graham Rahal finding himself in a similar position as last year, being just about on the outside looking in on the Sunday morning before the 500.

Oh yea... and some rookie named Larsen who made the fast 12.
