New Egypt Speedway thoughts  

Have to agree with 3Wider DWolfe358.  I feel "1" 10 lap rookie race is sufficient. I'm all for starting the top finishing (1, 2, even 3) at the back of the crate feature.  Especially if no crate consi is needed.  I'm sure NES has their reason for running the MOD feature first, but a lot of fans like to get an early start home by leaving after the MOD feature. 

Last bit of constructive criticism, the show started at about 6 pm with the crate feature ending around 10:15.  For me, I think too many divisions were competing on the same night.  In my opinion, the NES mainstays are the Mods and the Crates.  Why can't the other support divisions (mini stocks, late models, wingless sprints) be alternated.  East Windsor had a start time of 7:30 with the races over by 11:00.  I know you increase the back gate when you run multiple divisions, but a 4 hour show is a little too long in my book.

Don't get me wrong.  The racing this past Saturday night was excellent.  The track ws very dusty, but its' a dirt track and we've been having days in the 90s. 

I will definitely be visiting NES more this season.  Afterall, its the first race track my Mom and Dad took me to in the miid 50s.  Looks a little different now!
