Bridgeport  

We raced the big track last night with the Xcel cars. 

What a change. 

The last time we ran there our tires were bald and down to the cords.  We ran two features yesterday and while there was cosmetic wear, the tires were good enough after two events to run again.  Kudos to Bridgeport for the outstanding surface change - night and day for the racers.

As to the racing, to my eye it was amazing.  While the top groove was dominant, there was some incredible racing in each of the divisions.  The winner of the modified race set sail but behind him Steuer, Bunting and Pauch Jr. had an amazing race.  I had never seen Dillion Steuer run - I am not familiar with him, but given what I saw last night he can get up on the wheel. 

One other thing I noticed - It was good to see Mike Barone back on the track after an extended time away.  

We really are blessed to have such a premium facility available to us in NJ.  We travel around to other tracks  all summer and when we roll into Bridgeport we realize that the grounds are a step above from some of the other places we get to.
