Wonder how they figure out how much the fine is. 50K is a bunch of money by any standard. So, can we assume all door slams after the race will be that much? Also, does that money go to help repair the cost to fix the car, or does NASCAR pocket it, maybe it suppliments the point fund. Or perhaps it is based on points for your record, ie 1st crash is $X, 2nd is $xx2, 3rd $xxx3 and so on.
