Joe, Ray was only 25yrs old and I was 21yrs old in 1968...Ray and myself started in novis racing in 1965 , But Ray went back to the early 60's with his partner at that time Jim Gaften and they ran dirt and asphalt. How they chose the number #21 was a combination of the number they both wanted. Fred
