You'll get the hang of it. Not that hard.

You can preload your RA so all you have to is check one or two things about your specific call and go (may want to leave wifi off on ipad so it doesn't get stuck between wifi and LTE as you walk to the aircraft, though).

When you get back, you don't have to copy over from clipboard to computer and can do it sitting in the cockpit.

Trying to help see the bright side because it's not perfect but it's not all bad either.
