The car was kept in East Brunswick in a small one car residential garage right up the street from our house,  the car barely fit in it.  I was 15 at the time, we had a race car in our neighborhood, life couldn't be better! You are correct Rob, they made an attempt at Syracuse, I think it was '77 with a big block provided by Bob Ayers regular owner, Dale Clickner. After this wreck Bob Ryall wasn't in an hurry to fix the car, so a bunch of guys offered to rebuild the car for the assault on the Cuse!  The frame was actually a Mulligan chassis, one that was sitting around Dales shop unused, so Ryall bought it.

The trip to Syracuse was fun! We were the first car out on Thursday but broke an axle and didn't make a lap. Then on Friday that meant we were the last car out. So practically in the dark Bob went out and had like one of the faster times of the day, but the track was so much slower on day 2, so we were done.  They ran the Flemington 200 with the car, had plans for other races to end the year, but that was it.  Car return to sportsman racing the following year with little sucess and that was it. Good memories!
