Prayers and condolences to the Katona family. Always enjoyed my trips to his business, "Lawence Engineering" on (I believe) New York Ave in Trenton. You never knew whose hot rod or driver would be there. Scott Ely |

So sorry to hear that Les has passed. Les was always so helpful for me when I was racing and later on when my boys started racing. The boys couldn't wait to take their victory lane photos up to show Les,he always made it a big deal for the boys. Gloria and Carmen you and your family are in my thoughts. A great guy who will be missed. Don Nugent |

Sad to here of the passing of Les. His business Lawrence Engineering was one of the best places for us guys who built our own cars to get parts. He had everything and then some. Always enjoyed the flea markets. Our condolence's to his family. Freddy and Patti |

Very sad to hear of Les's passing. I enjoyed my time working at Lawrence Engineering . Les ,Carmen and Gloria always treated me like family. Les was a tough old guy and I never thought this ugly thing would take him down. |

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Les Katona. For some of us, the Sportsman and the Modified divisions had equal billing when it came to interest, excitement, and dedication to the sport, and that was definitely the case for me when it came to Flemington and East Windsor throughout the 70's. So when I think of the top runners of those great days, I don't divide them up by division.... I only see them as being the stars, and Les was always part of the storyline. A really tough competitor,, who was a threat to win everytime the #K3 was in the field. Thank you for all of the "K3" memories. My condolences to the Family and friends of Les Katona. |
