I will start this by saying I don't like Hamlin. However, I give the man credit for speaking his mind. NASCRAP has a major problem and I hope a driver does not die exposing it. I will also put money on both Hamlin and Harvick will have pit road speeding penalties, etc the rest of the season. The honchos of NASCRAP don't like to be exposed.

Yup that's it. Lots of driver interviews on YouTube saying the same thing. Looks like the cat is finally out of the bag. Nascar ignored the imput of the guys who have built these things for years and went with the kids with the laptop. The modifieds went through this when guys were getting killed because the frames were too stiff, so they made the guys put a kickup in the frame to make a crush zone. If you don't learn from the past you are bound to repeat it. |

Just look at the in car camera shots. They emptied the tubing rack when they built these cars and the 2 x 4 runs all through the car up and down. If it wasn't for the carbon fiber bodies these things would weigh 4000 #'s. |

You look at Bowman's hit. Pretty hard backwards in the wall. The car absorbed all the impact and was not damaged too bad. Problem is the driver is so secure in that vehicle he becomes part of the vehicle. He hit the back of his head on the seat back and was knocked silly. Hit a steel hammer on an anvil and feel where the energy goes. Hit a steel hammer with a wood handle on an anvil and see where the energy goes. Something needs to absorb energy between the body and the wall. This car does not do that. |
