Any info on NES speedway new track layout?

I read on the internet they were buying the wood fences from Wall Stadium. It was on the internet, so it must be true!

Not true! They bought the covered grandstands from Fonda. 

And the Figure 8 track from Nazareth.

I stole that chicken head one night. 

Similar to Harmony, they're gonna put a dragstrip between the grandstand and the front stretch.

I heard they're going to change it back to a 1/4 mile asphalt track and run on Friday night.

Big Blocks and no hideous disghusting sail panels.

A nice symetrical 3/8 mile oval owned and prepared by Ricky Grosso would be a huge step in the right direction.

It will be a 3/8th track with back stretch guard rail moved in 20 25 ft and turn two fixed. Plus guard rail higher in turns for more banking to give a top and a bottom groove. 30 to 35 mods every week should make for some very good racing 

So the Grosso's are buying it from Fred.  My question is, are they the only 2 owners of NES while it was dirt?  I think I remember another owner.

they need to switch to Friday

Run the same rules as Bridgeport on Friday nights and have a renewed combined NJ State Points like EWS and Flemington did.  But I'm not sure if Friday night would work in NJ anymore.

Like I said, I don't think Fridays are doable anymore, but it would be great if the cars and drivers were able to do both tracks every week.  

Why wouldn't Fridays be doable.  Most of the teams run different cars at the different tracks anyway.  We run the sprint car 2 and sometimes 3 nights on a weekend.  4 hours of maintenance between races, usually done right at the track. And back in the day, we ran Bridgeport on Thursday, East Windsor on Friday, Bridgeport or Flemington on Saturday, And back to East Windsor on Sunday.  ALL with the same car.  Modified racing has really changed, and sometimes I think not for the better. JMO

I agree John...i used to get to Big Diamond or Williams Grove on Fridays but the drive on Friday's 2 either place just sucks...

Move Bridgeport to Sunday.They seem to like doing that a lot anyway 

Minor track changes can be good, refresh the place. They have to draw the names though on a weekly basis.

Granted, they lost a few big names, especially the Pauch's, but were working on developing the new and young guys. Problem is that takes time and society has changed so much, people can't wait.

Now mix in a Billy Jr. and the names they have developed. Lure in a name or two more, Grandview sells and you can have a pretty good situation in the next two or three years.

I think the first thing I would try to change is to figure out how to turn down the lighting behind the stands that faces the the track during the features. Its reflecting off of the fine netting they have to keep anything from flying into the stands. It gives it a hazy view. Flemington turned the lights down during their features.  It's probably not do-able because of the expense and maybe I'm the only one who thinks this. The track is sterile if I had to put it in words. I guess it's lacking atmosphere/personality. 

Pay out for heat races like Windsor use to and dont run out of hot dogs. One and only time I went last year they ran out of hot dogs and there wasnt a big crowd and then have to sit and wait for grader to ruin a perfectly good surface and turn it into a dust bowl.
