Great photos! The Peaks Garage # 235 has Tommie Green behind the wheel. I believe this hot rod was a limited sportsman powered by a Chevy 6 cylinder. It competed against Ford flat head V-8s. Scott Ely |

First photo is Banjo Matthews and car owner Mel Joseph of Delaware after winning the 1955 Modified race at the Daytona Bearch course. The 1940 Ford coupe was powered by a Lincoln motor with 4 carbs. Banjo qualified 4th out of 79 cars and took the win on Feb 26, 1955 |
