No more sheet metal bodies. All body panels must be original, including doors, roofs trunks and quarter panels. |

I'd like to be able to actually see the drivers behind the wheel. Modifieds, sprints, midgets all have too much aero sheet metal. |

Nascar teams only allowed 3 cars.1 super speedway car one short track and one for road courses, and drivers have to help fix em when they wreck em. |

Agree with TenSpeedRacer, would love to see "aszholes and elbows" again especially in the midgets....hmmm that does not read too well. LOL They basically have bodies around them especially in the upper roll cage. |

I cast my vote for dumping today's "refrigerator box" bodies in favor of steel, late model ones. Not opposed to todays chassis (Bicknells, Troyers, etc) but would like to see them wrapped in a Mustang, Camaro, or a Challenger, etc body. Hell, let the Nissans, Toyotas, BMWs, etc join the party, as long as they're steel and stock. Regarding Nascar, I got nothing. Except maybe turning the clock back about 40 years (excluding safety advances of course). Scott Ely |

Yeah, the nascar transaxle has to go. It's not emulating any street cars that I can think of. Except the previous generation vette. Their losing regulator local track race fans, because we can't relate to these cars. The new expression will be "Race on Sunday, don't watch next Sunday". |

Thanks to John Springsteels Dad, Steve, (who built my first few body's) and taught me how to build a body. The body deal is a tough one. I can build a complete, pre painted aluminum body, ready for lettering for my asphalt car in about 12 hours. Including dzus' and rivets, it's about $600, and that's because the price of aluminum is up. It takes 12 hours to just cut a body off a stock, steel car. Now add the modifying, the body work, the paint and every other detail needed at about 60 hours, plus bondo and paint materials at $600. I'm not sure anyone owning a weekly, competitive race car will be doing that anytime soon. And John, "Race on Sunday, don't watch next Sunday" is pretty funny! |

Kevin, you forgot the cost of late model sheet metal. Guys like Harry Fleming aren't around anymore that would let you wander around the yard, pick something out and take it for no charge. Get your wallet out. |
