Patriotic cars/paint schemes? Patriotic #'s? Driver's names that you can tie in to The 4th of July, The Revolutionary War, or our country's independance (founding father's names, revolutionary war heros..... (Were there any driver's named "Revere?" ) Car #'s that could be somehow tied in to the 4th, or "explosives/fireworks?" Here's somewhat of a stretch, but just to get you started...... Revolutionary war's Molly Pitcher (gave water to the troups over by Freehold during the battle of Monmouth) and Ken Johnson's #64 that has "Moly Black Gold" as a sponsor.... (Yea, it's spelled different, but you get the idea....)

# 76 short for 1776 - Always reminds me of the Barker Bus dirt modifieds and the Blewett's red, white, and blue pavement modifieds. |

Absolutely! I was just looking through a 1977 program and mentioned that your dad was one to watch in extra distance races. |

We had just moved from East Windsor to Robbinsville. I was 19. I don't think everything was even unpacked yet. I can't remember if it wasn't on TV or if we didn't gave cable yet but I recall lying on the living room floor listening to the Firecracker 400 on the radio. I think it was WHWH 1350AM but I could be wrong. Remember when you could find the NASCAR races on the radio almost anywhere?
Anyhow, The King won #200 and I can recall banging on the floor I was so excited.
I can't imagine 60,000 people would be willing to sit in the Florida sun to watch a race on July 4th in 2023. |

For me, 3 iconic hot rods driven by 3 of the best. So when I got to thinking about race cars that could be considered patriotic, i
t was easier for me to take pics of my 1/64th versions than to travel through the photo sections of 3WIDE for the "real, original animals". Scott Ely |
