Yes, that is Budd Olsen. At the end of that season, Budd took it back to his shop and gave it more of an "Olsen Look". The 36 Chevy used to build that car was a complete, original car that we drove into the shop to begin dismantling.

These are the mortal remains of the 44 coupe, almost 50 years later

So this wasn't the former big block Piscopo coupe 39?  Scott Ely

No, Scott, that was a CB Engineering build. The Piscopo car was my first ride as a sportsman at Harmony and then Dad sold it.

One of the Piscopo #39 cars became an early Menschner/Neary #21.  Hopefully Fred M will see this and can add more.

Dick Lynch of Shoemaker and Lynch Used Auto Parts in Belvidere bought a former Cozze white and black 44 coupe that became the white with black numbers 99 for Steve Christine.  I have been trying to find out for years which coupe that was.  I saw it when Dick first bought it before they repainted it and had it lettered.  When Steve drove it, it was a Limited Sportsman with a Boss 302 Ford in it.  I would place the year around 'late '70 or '71 since I didn't have my license yet.

When Tas came to drive for us we also acquired the last of the Piscopo 39s. I used it briefly in 71 and I believe that is the car that Dad then sold to Lynch.
