Fuel injected big blocks. The excitement I got just starting one up on methanol is something I'll never forget. It was the best time in modified racing.

Nothing better than a 482 on hilborns and methanol... No downforce bodys and steer it with the gas pedal..The good old days..You had to learn not to breathe in the staging lanes during motor heat....Fun Times guys.. |

So, back when passenger cars all had carburetors modifieds had fuel injection, now all passenger cars have fuel injection modifieds have carburetors. Oh how I miss the days of drag tires and fuel injection. |

Thats Amazing, The guy with his hands in his pockets looking at Johnny Harrolls car is my dad's long time crew guy Bill Rank, He also worked and sponsored Jim Romeo's cars for a while in the 80's I just took the air compressor that he brought to my dad's shop to use in the mid 70's, back to Bill, I hadn't seen him in about 30 years |
