Does anyone have pics when the moderns were invited to Hightstown? They race on two different dates in 1975. My father came in second in both races in his #78 nova. |

HEY, JOHN !! I went to both races with my #73 , tom orourke got don jones to have a couple of shows at ews for us wall moderns ,tom came around and personally asked only " solid" racers to come out--he didn'twant a chinese firedrill -(don't recall if any ac guys went) they let us out for warmups and neil rutt pulled up alongside of me and yelled" are we supposed to go "? i looked and there was no one on the starters stand !! flagman must have gone to get coffee or something !! had a lot of fun and finished 6th & 8th !!--was just starting to get the hang of it,too !! sorry,no pics , though !! thanks for spurring the ol'memory bank , john!! blessings !! bill garrett |

Cool to hear Bill. My Father said that warm ups were like like driving in soup. I know he barrowed George Cooks tire groover and it didn't want to cut them hard street tires at all. |
