In both shots you can see gas cans and in the coach shot you can see the "Dupont"gas truck that he sold at the track. I wonder if that truck became one of Jerry's water trucks in later years? |

Leon Manchester. Coupe is at Nazareth 1 1/8 mile and Coach is at Nazareth 1/2 mile. Both have to be late 60's? |

The picture of Leon's coupe shows a tire that Whip called a Snake in 69 when he came to drive 73. It was his favorite tire at Nazareth. I'm not sure if that was the official name for that tire or what brand it was. Just because thats what Whip called it doesn't mean thats the name because believe me Whip had his own name for most everything. |

It was the way it was grooved. I remember hearing my dad call that style a "snake" as well. |
