Thanks for posting Shawn.
It may be my untrained eye, but to me the body styles of asphalt mods/sportsman don't look all that different today than they did 20 or 30 years ago. |

Basically every mod in these pics is a cavalier hatchback. These panels were hand made and have multiple bends in them. The roof was GM steel. Today I don't know car (mustang?)their trying to duplicate, but their pretty flat IMO. |

The 04 Coupe has popped up a few times here. John Rosati? The car has Ralph Solhiem's black and gold colors, did he own it? Ralph's cars are usually the 0. |

I know multiple people have driven this car but I always thought it was Ken Bouchard driving on this day but I could be wrong. I know Ken was a big guy so I'm not really sure this is him after looking closer at the picture. |

Kevin, dad always had a camera wherever he/we went. Dad had a love for racing whether it was driving cars, working on cars, lettering cars, or just sitting in the stands. I'm sure that's where my passion for racing comes from. He took photos at many tracks but not as a professional photographer. He was a very talented guy who could do just about anything. Not only was he good at photography, he was also a good artist, did wood carvings, made duck decoys (won some blue ribbons at many shows), and was just all around great at just about everything he did. Many of the racing related items in the racing trailers at Fleming's Pumpkin Run were painted/lettered by dad. Some of the earliest racing photos I have from him were from the early-mid sixties. His earliest photos I have are probably from Hawaii when he was in the service and stationed there and also a few from Vineland Speedway. His collection includes Hawaii, Vineland, Atlantic City/Pleasantville, Wall Stadium, A.C. Convention Hall, East Windsor, OCFS, Fonda, Oxford Plains, Bear Ridge VT, Martinsville. I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting but that's what comes to minds right now. |

Ron Bouchard was very good at Wall. He drove the purple 17 that I knew of. I will look at some old programs and see if I can tell who was in it. |

Ralph was really good friends with Corky Cookman this may be your answer. I know he was with Cookman the night he was killed. Him and I talked about the crash. Cookman kept to himself just him and his girlfriend Carla(?). Ralph is smarter than he lets on about race cars! |

Very true about Ralph. His cars were always fast no matter who drove them and on a tight budget. He knew how to make things work without all the flash. |
