I know there are some Whip Mulligan fans here. He gave us a great start as car owners. Wish it lasted longer.

Chevy. I remember my father and Uncle buying L-88 Long Blocks (I thinks thats what they were called) at American Auto Parts in Morristown NJ in 1968 when he was driving the car but. At some point they were sent to J&J Balancing shortly after Whip came aboard. |

What a great pic to wake up to! The best year of racing for a Whip Mulligan fan. I think I told the story before, but I just got my driver's license and car (a VW of course) and came to Naz. National and froze at warmups the day before the opening race. Kept looking for the 14 but saw the 73 flying around with no idea who was in it. They finally announced that Whip set fast time and his great year began. Thanks, Anthony! |

Wish I was around local racing in 1969. Didn't start going regularly until 1970 and missed Whip's great year in the 73. Big fan of Whip and the beautiful iconic 73's. |

I'm not sure who you are but you know us well. Ralph Napolitano who was very involved with the building of the Hawk. He lived a block from the shop. The big guy between Dad and Pop is Joe Gardine. Just plain Big Joe. |

That's a whole other subject John. You must be talking with Larry. History shows he left at the end of season. My father and him did however stay close and Whip did play a part at times during Gary Balough's run. |
