Photos 1&2.........are we sure that isn't Reggie Ruggiero in the Teddy Bear Pools #44? I kind of remember Rick Fuller driving the 44 in the early 1990's when it was a black car. I could be wrong......things get hazy over the years!

I'll have to check when I get home but I believe this was either 85' or 86'. I'm leaning towards 85' due to the 61 sticker on everyone's roof in rememberance of Richie Evans. As far as the#44, I have it marked as Reggie Ruggerio but I do have to agree with Frank A. Jr's comment about the helmet. I don't ever remember Reggie with a full face helmet. Now I'm second guessing myself. I'll have to see if I have the Turkey Derby programs from those years to verify who was driving.

Yea, that's why I think it's Rick, also a little bigger in the car. Reg always worn an open face.

1987 Spener drove the Dolan 28.

Don Pratt ran used Hutters, usually from Spencer.  Spencer sold his used tires, etc. to Don, who then sold/gave his older stuff to Daryl Lewis when he was starting out.  The three pitted adjacent to each other at Shangri-La. Don was great people.

Checked my photo album and Kevin is correct, photos are from 1986. Below are photo pages from my album showing I had the #44 as Reggie Ruggerio. After doing some research, it appears we were all wrong. I believe the #44 that day was Bobby Fuller (see results below). Guess we learn something new every day!

Good work Shawn!  Where did you get that result?

Bobby was the least known of the Fuller brothers. Large family all involved in racing and very successful.  I raced with Bobby in New Smyrna in 1988, got to know him a little, nice guy.  He kind of always had modifieds and had Tony Stewart drive for him at New Smyrna in 1997 in his 17.

Google is a wonderful thing. Here is the link where I found the results. Just click on the year you want to look at and it will give you the race results.

Unfortunately it appears you were a DNQ that year.

I never understood the fact that Wall was able to race as long as they did with the very dangerous old wooden hub rail fence considering that the State of New Jersey was always so strict on their rules and regulations.
