It was a long day... and I watched every minute of it!

Wondering if you guys did too, and what you're thoughts were of this year's Indy 500?

I wanted Pato to win, but Newgarden made some unbelievable moves and I have to say, he really did deserve the win.

Already looking forward to next year.

I watched the majority of the race but missed several laps to pick up dinner around 5:30. I thought the race was excellent. Good to see Kyle Larson lead for a little bit. Newgraden's running up into the Grandstand was enjoyable to watch. He was very classy talking about O Ward. You could see the frustration of O Ward after the race. One thing I noticed. None of that long droning on about sponsors. There was plenty of emotions not that crap that goes on in Nascar, where everything feels scripted.

This is my favorite day of the year. Thought it was a great finish love that an American driver won. Wish there were more guys like Larson who just didn't bring a big check to the deal. I never heard of half the drivers these days . Just a final thought check out the Behind the Bricks on YouTube, it is a look at the things that it takes to run the speedway with Doug Boles hosting the show. Lot of really kool things about the place and the people who make it all work. Lots of segments, check it out.

The late start made for a nice afternoon of "getting crap done".  Rolled right into an awesome Port Royal High Limit Weikert Memorial race on Flo than into the Super Dirt Series at Weedsport. Caught about 2 minutes of Charlotte.

Blocking. Exists in NASCAR and basically forbidden in Indy car, which allowed for a great and safe finish at 220 mph. You know for a fact how this race would have ended in NASCAR, and I'm not slamming Nascar, but what a difference to see a pure pass instead of a blocking/crash situation.

The race had all the drama, as always. Kyle did a good job, not great, but it's what you get when you go the biggest race on earth as your first race. Too bad Michigan or another oval did not precede Indy, so he could get some "race" seat time instead of just practice/time trial seat time.

As always the Indianapolis 500 is the greatest spectacle in racing. It never disappoints.

Caught the last 15 laps of Indy.  Probably the most exciting lapr I'll all year.  I know the "slide jobs" you see in an Outlaw or High Limits sprint car race are thrilling, but they're not doing 200+ MPH! I know it was probably the right move to call the Charlotte 600 due to rain, but I wanted to see Larson get a chance to run the 151 laps.  He may not have won but it would have been fun watching him come from the rear.  To me, the 5 car with sub driver AJ driving looked to be a pretty racy hot rod.  Scott Ely

The Indy 500 was . . . . well, it's the Indy 500! My son, my son-in-law, two of my young grandsons and I were just taking in those last 25 or so laps either standing or on the edge of our seats. Oldest grandson always roots for Rossi, rest of us were cheering on Pato . . . and gotta admit we were all a bit bummed when Newgarden made his sweeping pass going into turn three on that final lap. My man Santino again brought home a top ten finish. Fantastic action throughout the pack throughout the day. Only 364 days until May 25, 2025!

Great race! Crazy moves throughout the day. I thought O Ward would have waited longer since he seemed to be sitting back.
Larson, o well did it to himself...unlucky!
Monaco, Indy, Port Royal...great day!

The greatest spectacle in racing and a damn good race too!  Exciting racing throughout and an amazing finish.  Indianapolis never disappoints.  Hope to be there in person next year.  Racing like this shows how far Nascrap has fallen.

A good very long day. We camped in Coke Lot across the street from Turn 4. We tent camped with friends. Some had campers some had tents. Our tent was destroyed the first day. Very windy. Mazda didn't design their CX-30 for sleeping but we slept like babies 3 nights in a row in it. Sunday night our friend said to sleep in his RV as he had extra room since some had to leave Sunday night. Dangerous Thunder storms Sunday night with bad lightning. But we survived it all. We never left the campsite Sunday morning. We expected a delay and didn't want to make that walk twice. It was crazy getting in after the rain delay as everyone had to enter at the same time instead of being spread out all morning. Good but not great race in my opinion. The last lap pass happened right in front of us. Saw it from beginning to end. A thing of beauty. We're already talking about our options for 2025.
