I consider myself a "car guy" who thought he had a preety good grasp on what makes and models were out there in the 60s up thru the 90s.  So I'm on a car model site "Model Roundup" and they're adveristing a 1/25th scale model of the 1968 Mrecury M-100 pickup!  Where have I been!  This is news to me!  My research shows that the Mercury M-100 was produced from 1946 thu 1968!  I know the M-100 is a exact twin to the Ford F-100, but again, how did I not know that!  Scott Ely

Merc trucks were sold in Canada. Sorta like Beaumont’s, which were actually Chevelles with a nose job and sold by Pontiac-Buick dealers up there.

I was always aware of Mercury pickup's. Never really knew the year that they stopped. They're ever more rare than the Cabellero.

There was actually a Mercury pickup and a Beaumont running around the town of Keyport, NJ in the 80's.

Found this truck, 1980 Plymouth Arrow,

while picking up a car for friends they bought, while picking a barn in Pa. near Hershey.  Saw it under a pile of stuff. I looked under the stuff, saw it was in pretty good shape, made an offer and bought it pretty cheap.  Freshened the fuel, rebuilt the carb, a few other odds and ends and drives real well now. 50k on it. Put my 1972 Yamaha JT2's in it.  Fun, little driver.

We had a yellow one for they were Mitsu powered with simlar graphics. until the idiot blew a stop sign after dropping a car off a the Wheel alignment shop. Also the black ones had graphics or you could get a plain jane in other colors. They were basically a Lancer with Plymouth name plates.

Mercury was the name used on Ford trucks that were made overseas. During the War in Vietnam, I saw a lot of trucks with this name being used by the civilan population.

There was an excellent article on Mercury trucks in Vintage Truck magazine, July/August 2023 available at www.vintagetruckmagazine.com.
