Look what I stumbled upon in North Prince Georg, VA. It's a highly modified front wheel drive mini stock. I was down there picking up a chop top beetle.

I’d like to see photos of the chop top beetle! All those compound curves, the fabricator had to be a wizard!

It was chopped by a vocational school in NC in the 80's. It's crusty, but so far I'm going to fix it.

That’s nice! The chop is not too radical but definitely noticeable. As long as the pan isn’t Swiss cheese, looks like most bodywork would just be bolt on components.

The bondo on the roof cracked and lifted. It needs pans and at least the drivers side heater channel. The guy saved it because it had nice lines. There's other common places for rust that are actually good on this car. I might get it media blasted and see what's left.

Ian doesn't widen his Beetle roof's. He actually narrows the car. That only works for a fender less Bug. This roof is a 4 section chop.

It's a cool-looking ride, share some work progress photos when you get a chance. Good Luck with it!

Will do. First I gotta get a price on media blasting.
