I would go as far to say that Tony Stewart had the same if not more multi dimensional talent as Kyle Larson, In the not so distant past, he was a champion in the big three divisions of USAC (midgets, Sprints, Silver Crown) in the same year. A multi time NASCAR Cup champ, currently doing well in NHRA (which I know nothing about), competed and won against the WorLD of Outlaws, and the All Stars Circuit of Champions. He ran with INDYCAR and faired pretty well against them. 

Not taking anything away from Kyle, but it's not unheard of..... nonetheless, it's still impressive !
