Really sad to hear about the passing of Nate Strunk.  In the early 70's, I always paid attention to Nate... First with his #XXX sedan, and then later with a really good looking light blue #XXX.  I don't know if Nate won, and really didn't matter to me... I just thought the # was cool and thought he looked like a hard charger out there, and the name, "Nate Strunk"... just sounded like a good tough racing name to me.

Thanks to the various racing gatherings over the past 20 years or so, I would often see Nate at the gatherings and would always make it a point to say hello and talk shop for a while.  I don't think he ever posted on the board, but he would always have something to say related to the board, or a recent thread.

I feel fortunate to have had a chance to say hello to Nate at the TAS Awards event held just a few months ago.  I'll miss seeing Nate, but will always appreciate his efforts on the track, and his interest in contributing to the history of the sport after he retired from racing.  Nate was what this site is all about.

My sincere condolences to the friends and family of Nate Strunk.
