Original Message A Egge-Hildebrand (spelling?) purple hot rodbehind the wheel. # 9 coupe accounted for the first ever modified feature winner at the East Windsor Speedway in 1965 with Russ Hoek driving. Their purple #9s were later driven by Ed Farley, Bobby Bottcher and some guy named Gary Balough. I recall that Balough guy had a decent career(to say the least) in the purple 9s. Scott Ely |
